Description	Image of early construction on the Blue Ridge Parkway. The road has been cut, but there has been no landscaping of the surrounding area. There is a small group of people at the side of the road who appear to be working. There is one automobile parked in the road, and one parked off to the side. The Blue Ridge Mountains are visible in the background of the image. Image taken in August of 1936 near Station 1147+00 and milepost 157 in Section 1R of the Blue Ridge Parkway.
