Title Park Resort Plan Sought By Cammerer
Title Note Page 1
Date May 6, 1934
Description National Park Service Director Cammerer wrote Senator Robert R. Reynolds of North Carolina a letter expressing his desire that North Carolina develop tourist accommodations in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. He also said that he hopes this tourism development will be local, spearheaded by citizens of North Carolina.
Commentary It is interesting to see the NPS Director calling for tourist accommodations in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, considering the restraint placed on tourism and tourism development along the Blue Ridge Parkway.
