Stanly County WWI Memorial, Albemarle
The Stanly County World War One Memorial is a roughhewn boulder several feet tall with a rounded top and generally flat but unfinished face. The boulder stands on a single roughhewn base. A bronze tablet with a low serpentine top is inset into the face. Above the inscription are crossed, partially unfurled, American flags.

The marker is located at the Stanly County Courthouse, 201 S. 2nd Street in Albemarle, NC. It stands to the left of the main courthouse entrance. A few feet further to the left is the Stanly County WWII, Korea, Vietnam Memorial.
The granite boulder stands on the lawn by the street sidewalk.
