    The memorial is two brick columns leading to a patio paved with bricks which hold the names of veterans of all branches of service and all wars. The obelisk at the center contains the phrase “All Gave Some, Some Gave All,” and the seals of the military branches: the Marines, the Navy, the Coast Guard, the Army, the Air Force, and the Merchant Marine. It is approximately 4 ft tall by 2 ft wide. Benches around the monument read “Country,” “Honor,” and “Duty.”

  • Monument Dedication and Unveiling

    The monument was unveiled on a Sunday afternoon. Veterans and their families were present to honor friends and family members who had served or were serving in the military. Those in attendance also reflected on the legacy of the American Revolution and the Iraq War.

    Bricks inscribed with the name of a soldier can be purchased from the Bladenboro Historical Building and added to the patio for $100 each.

    The monument stands by the side of the road in front of the Bladenboro Historical Society Building and Museum in Bladenboro, NC. The obelisk faces northwest towards South Main Street (North Carolina 410).
