LORDS OF TRADE TO THE KING. 25 MARCH 1730.

To the King's most Excellent Majty

May it please your Majty

In obedience to yor Majtys commands signified to us by yor Order in Council of the 21st of ye last month directing us to cause the draught of a seal to be prepared for yor Maj. Province of North Carolina & to lay the same before yor Majty for your Royal approbation We humbly take leave to annex a draught accordingly whereon Liberty is represented introducing plenty to your Maj. with this Motto Quæ sera tamen respexit and this inscription round the circumference Sigillum Provinciæ nostræ Carolinæ Septentrionalis

In the reverse of this seal we would humbly propose Your Maj. arms Crown, Garter, Supporters & Motto with this inscription round the circumference Geo. II. Dei Gratia Magnæ Britaniæ Franciæ et Hiberniæ Rex Fidei Defensor Brunsvici et Lunenbergi Dux Sacri Romani Imperii Archi Thesaurarius et Elector.
