PLACES IN THE PROVINCE OF NORTH CAROLINA IN THE GIFT OF HIS GRACE THE DUKE OF NEWCASTLE.
Chief Justice
Secretary
Attorney General
Provost Marshall

When I was Governour for the Proprietors the Bill mony was under ten Thousand Pounds, att that time English Commodities sold for ten times the prime cost in Bills. In the last Assembly held in that Province in November Past an addition was made of thirty thousand pounds new Bills, which consequently makes them of very little value, the Officers employments will be very inconsiderable if they are not allowed to take their fees in Proclamation mony, or according to that value.
