To all to whom these presents shall come I Henry McCulloh of Turnham Green in the County of Middlesex Esqr send greeting.

Whereas I am entitled to a certain district of Land containing seventy one Thousand one Hundred and Sixty Acres between the North East branch of Cape Fear River and Black river in North Carolina in America by virtue of a Grant thereof from his present Majesty bearing date the 3d day of March 1745-6 subject to certain Conditions in the said Grant mentioned as by the said Grant: relation being thereunto had more fully may Appear Now Know ye that I the said Henry McCulloh have made Ordained Constituted and Appointed and by these presents do make Ordain Constitute and Appoint Alexander McCulloh Esqr Deputy Auditor of his Majesties Province of North Carolina my true and Lawfull Attorney for me and in my name and to and for my use to Treat, Agree and Contract with any Person or Persons whomsoever for the Sale and Disposition of any Quantity or Quantitys Number or Numbers of Acres of Land belonging to me and situated between the North East branch of the Cape Fear River and black river in North Carolina aforesaid subject nevertheless to such Provisos and Conditions as are contained in the Grant thereof made to me as aforesaid And I do Hereby further give and grant unto my said Attorney full Power and absolute authority to make constitute and appoint one or more Attorney or Attorneys Substitute or Substitutes in his place and stead to do perform and Execute all acts and Things whatsoever which my said Attorney himself might or could do by virtue of these Presents and at his Pleasure from time to time to revoke the same Hereby giving and granting unto my said Attorney his Substitute or Substitutes my full and Absolute Power in the Provinces and I do hereby Promise and agree to ratify and Confirm in the most full and Ample manner all act

and acts thing and Things whatsoever which my said Attorney his Substitute or Substitutes shall lawfully do or cause to be done in Execution of the Premises by these Presents granted In Witness hereof I have Hereunto set my Hand and Seal this 9th day of April One Thousand Seven Hundred and fifty five.
