Form of notice for calling the Hillsborough Convention.

Sir,

In pursuance of the Trust which devolves on me by the much lamented death of our late worthy Moderator, I am to request the favour of you to Summon the Freeholders of the County of —— to meet at such convenient time & place as you may appoint to choose and elect proper persons to serve as Delegates in a provincial Convention to be held at Hillsborough on the twentieth day of August next; and as affairs of the last importance to this province will be submitted to their Deliberation, I would recommend that the number of Delegates for each County should not be less than five.
