North Carolina

In the Council of Safety 2nd August 1776

Resolved that John Smith of Halifax County be immediately brought before this Council, for passing Counterfeit Money. That Mr. Philip Harvey and Mr. William Harris be sommoned to appear as Witnesses at the same time, and that the Commanding Officer of said County see this Resolution Carried into Execution.
