United States, have advised me to send the Caswell with such of our Gallies as you may think proper to the attack of Florida, on your sending one of the Gallies belonging to your State to her station at Ocracock. This appears to me to be absolutely necessary for the protection of the Trade of both States. I shall therefore order the ship to be in readiness to join such of yours as you shall order on the service.

The time when you think your Gallies will arrive at Ocracock, you will be pleased to advise me, that the Caswell may be in readiness to proceed without loss of time. I have the honor to be with very great respect & esteem Sir,

Your mo. ob. Servt.
