Newbern, Jan. 23, 1778.

Monday last, the sloop Success, Capt. Tucker, from Bermuda bound in here, with salt, ran ashore on Cape Hatteras, received considerable damage, and the people were obliged to leave her. The Captain gives this notice, that if the vessel, or any part of her rigging, sails, or cargo, can be saved, he is willing to pay salvage for it. Apply to the Captain, or Mr. John W. Stanly, Merchant in Newbern.
