HON. ROBERT MORRIS TO GOVERNOR MARTIN.
[From Executive Letter Book.]

Office of Finance, 30th Sept., 1783.

Sir:

I do myself the honor to enclose to your Excellency the Copy of a Letter of the 7th March last whereof Duplicates have already been transmitted. Lest by some accident it should have been lost or mislaid, I also do myself the honor to send herewith a Copy of the Act of Congress referred to in that Letter. I take the liberty to add that I should be extremely happy to receive your determination with respect to Mr. Montgomery as that gentleman has long waited to know whether his services will be called for and during this attendance been thereby necessarily prevented from forming any other engagements either public or private.

With perfect respect I have the honor, &c.
ROBERT MORRIS.
His Excellency the Governor of North Carolina.
