Genuary 7th, 1783.

Dr. Sir:

I am happy to inform you that I have Recovered my wounds through a Great Difficulty and I Hope to Be able to Join Camp In a Short time and I Do intend Go to Charlestown in a few Weakes. Sir I hope you will Consider me and not think Heard of my Not Joining Camp Sooner, as I have Not Been able to Join any Sooner. I should be Glad you would wright me the first oppertunity you have. Dr. Sir Excuse haste. I am Sir yours Sincear friend to Serve,
