Decr. 18th, 1783.

Sir:

On the seventh of this Inst. I recd. your letter respecting Brevet commissions for the different Grades of the Officers, who were of the same grade in 1777.

Sir:

Agreeable to your letters, and resolve of the Congress, I enclose you the names, rank, and state of commission of those officers of the line of this state who are entitled to Brevet Commissions.

The other Commissions for the line of officers of this State, we wish may be issued agreeable to return made to the war office in November, 1782, the Officers generally are all desirous to receive theirs as soon as may conveniently be done.
