Upon Petic̄on of Jane Anderson praying an order for Lres of Aministrac̄on on the Estate of John Anderson Decd as nearest of Kinn to the Deced

Orderd that Jane Anderson have Lres of Administrac̄on on the Estate of John Anderson Deced And that Isaac Wilson Dennis Macclendon & Andrew Reed apprise the aforesd Estate & that the sd Jane Anderson bring in an Inventory of the Deceds Estate to the next prcinct Court.

By an Informacon of Elizabeth Exhibited agt Ellinor Mearle by Thomas Snoden her Maties Attorney Generall & Procuratr for the Lords Proprietrs agt Ellinor Mearle for breach of an Act Entituled an Act agt Fornicac̄on & Adultery And the Sd Ellinor appeard & Confesses the Informac̄on.

Orderd That Ellinor Mearle be punished by receiving Ten Stripes on her Back well laid on & pay Costs als Exō

And then the Court adjourns till tomorrow Morning 7 of clock.

Orderd That Dennis Macclendon take into his Custody Elizabeth & Deborah Sutten two of the aforesd Orphans & all their reall & personall Estate whatsoever & be accountable for the same when thereunto legally called.

Orderd that Nathaniel Sutton take into his Care & Custody Richd Sutten one of the aforesd Orphans & all his reall & personall Estate whatsoever & be accountable for the Same when thereunto legally called.

Orderd that A Bond past by Abraham Warren, Samuel Nicholson & James Oats for the aforesd Orphans Estate be null & void to all intents & purposes.

Upon Petic̄on of Charles Craddock Shewing That Henry Norman detains from the petic̄onr one Trunk one Chest an Inkhorn & a Bible

Orderd that Henry Norman render unto the petic̄onr the aforesd Chest Trunk Bible & Inkhorn with Costs als Exō.

Alexander the Indyan by a Reference from the last Court comes to prosecute his suite agt Juliana Lakar in A Plea of the Case & Complains That he the plt Sometime in the Month of May in the year of our Lord God 1692 in & by A certaine writing obligations contracted to & with the Deft to Serve her the Deft the full time & terme of twelve yeares from the Date of the Sd Contract And the plt Sayth that att the end or Expirac̄on of the Sd terme of Twelve yeares he the plt was to be free & att Liberty And that the plt hath Servd the aforesd terme & time according to contract. And that the Deft hath detained the plt a Servt one year over and above the time Specifyed in the aforesd Contract to his Damage Tenne pounds And prays an Order for his freedom And for Plea the

Deft Cometh forth & Sayth that She never did by any writing obligac̄on or Contract to nor with Saunders her Indyan for any terme of years nor never did assigne to any writing attained to his Freedom Soe putts him to prove that She did & throws herself upon the Country And the plt likewise And the Marshall was Comanded to Cause to Come twelve true & lawfull men of the vicinage who neither &c. To whom &c By whom the matter may be found And there came Mr Isaac Wilson Mr Timothy Clare Mr Willm̄ White Mr Patrick Eggerton Mr Richd Davenport Mr Peter Jones Mr Willm̄ Pargiter Mr Ralph Boatman Mr Willm̄ Bogue Mr John Hopkins Mr Thomas Pierce & Mr Willm̄ Moore who Impannell'd & Sworn Say wee of the Jury find for the plaintiffe with Costs of Sute.

Orderd that the plaintiffe be free from the Deft and that the Deft pay Costs als Exs. And in Barr of all further proceedings the Deft prays an Appeal in to the next Honble Court of Chancery which is granted.

Mrs Juliana Lakar assumes to be indebted unto his Excellency the palatine & the Lords Proprietrs in the full & Just Sum̄e of Twenty pounds & Thomas Norcom assumes in behalfe of the sd Juliana Lakar in the sume of Ten pounds That She the sd Juliana Lakar shall prosecute her appeal agt Alexander the Indyan to the next Honble Court of Chancery
