That in May 1676 this Deponent being then in Albemarle in Carolina did see Mr Thomas Miller then undr a guard of soldiers a prisonr upon an accusation of seditious or treasonable words as reporte went for wch they were carrieng him from thence into Virginia to be tryed by Sr Wm. Berkly and his Counsell. And further this depont saith that in June following he sawe ye sd Miller in Virginia who after he was acquitted of ye sd accusations gott out his pass and in July following came on board the shipp Constant of London Capt. Jacob Hayes Commandr this depont then being one of the said Hayes mates of ye shipp and the said Miller came home in the shipp with us that voyage and further saith not
