Know all men by these presents that we Miles Harvey John Harvey & Benjamin Harvey all of the County of Perquimans & Province of No Carolina are held and firmly Bound unto Richard Spaight Esqr secretary of the province afforsd in the full & just sum of Five hundred pounds Lawfull money of Great Brittain, The which payment well & truly to be made & done unto the sd Richd Spaight Esqr his Successors or assigns we bind ourselves Joyntly & severally our heirs Exors & admrs firmly by these Presents sealed wth our seals & dated this 27th day of October Anno Dom̄ 1755.

The Condition of the above Obligation is such that whereas the above bounden Miles Harvey has Obtained a Commission from the above named Richard Spaight Esqr appointing him Clerk of the Court of Perquimans County in the sd Province & Clerk of the peace wthin the same, bearing dath the 27th day of October 1755. Now if the above bounden Miles Harvey shall well truly and faithfully Execute the sd Offices According to Law then the above Obligation to be Void & of none Effect Otherwise for any Default to be & Remain in full force & Virtue
