Instructions for our Trusty and Well beloved Arthur Dobbs Esqr Our Captain General and Governor in Chief in and over our Province of North Carolina in America.

Given at Our Court at St. James the 30th day of June 1761 in the first year of our Reign.

[N. B. The Lds of Trade having made “no alterations from the Instructions given by his late Majesty” to Govr Dobbs 17th June 17541 “except only in the following particulars” which are noted in their Report to the King of 6th May 17612 , I have not thought it necessary to have the above Instructions contained in 109 pages copied.
