EZEKIEL CORNELL TO GENERAL GATES.

Philadelphia, August 20, 1780.

Dear Sir:

Since writing this day I am informed from good authority that the Torys in the state of Deleware have lately armed themselves to the Number of 2 or 300, and imbodied, but have been routed by the Militia, and a number killed and wounded on both sides. I inclose you a yesterday's paper, in which you will se that mobbs are mischevious in London.

I am, your huml. Servant,
E. CORNELL.
Genl. Gates.
