Dear General:
The day after we left your house Mr. Garrard was taken very sick, and continues so yet, which prevented our coming to your house the day before yesterday. I should be much obliged to you to let me know by the bearer when you set off for Camp. Mr. Garrard, I believe, will not be able to go on with us.
I hope you & family are well. My Compliments to Capt. Fawn.
And am, Dear General,
N. B.—Mr. Garrard wants a vial of drops he left at your house.
