GOVERNOR MARTIN TO THE BRIGADIER GENERALS OF MILITIA.
[From Executive Letter Book.]

Circular.

Hillsborough, January 17th, 1783.

Sir:

You will please to make me an accurate return of your Brigade at or before the next General Assembly, to enable me to inform the Legislature the strength of the State.

I have not yet been favored with the return of your delinquent Officers, who have failed to draught and return to you the eighteen month’s men as requested in my last. I am impatient for the same, that I may have it in my power to let loose the Justice of the State on the offenders.

I am, &c.,
ALEX. MARTIN.
