At a meeting of the Council of State at Hillsboro, on Monday, the 3rd day of August, A. D. 1778.
Present—The Honorables William Cray, Joseph Leech, Thomas Bonner and Robert Bignall, Esquires.
His Excellency the Governor acquainted the Board that the Clerks of the General Assembly informed him a sufficient number of members to constitute the General Assembly have not appeared.
Resolved, That the Governor be advised to issued a proclamation proroguing the said General Assembly until Tuesday, the 4th instant, then to meet at Hillsboro for the dispatch of public business.
Adjourned till to-morrow.
