Marble plaque on the front of James Lawrence Dusenbery's tomb, Lexington City Cemetery, Lexington, NC. The plaque reads: "Dr. James L. Dusenbery/Born/Dec. 14, 1821/Died/Feb. 28, 1886." The plaque is incorrect. He died on January 28, 1886.
