Kinston: Eastern Carolina Chamber of Commerce, [1925?].

The Eastern Carolina Chamber of Commerce, an organization that included forty-six North Carolina counties, published this "Encyclopedia" circa 1924 to encourage individuals and businesses to settle in the region. This publication includes information on the following North Carolina counties: Bertie, Duplin, Edgecombe, Greene, Halifax, Johnston, Jones, Lenior, Nash, Pender, Pitt, Sampson, and Wayne. Arranged alphabetically by county, the pamphlet provides details on each county's agricultural production, churches, population, roads, schools, and weather. Articles on fruit and pecan cultivation, and dairy and hog farming are interspersed in the booklet.
