        <p><hi rend="italics">Be it Resolved</hi>, That we the Physicians of Rowan County have adopted the above Tariff of FEES, believing them to be founded on a just consideration of the services which Physicians are called upon to perform; and in order to establish a uniform rate of charges amongst ourselves; and it is expected that every member of the Profession will, in good faith, conform to it in his charges, whenever the pecuniary circumstances of the Patient are not such as clearly to forbid it.</p>
        <p><hi rend="italics">Resolved</hi>, That we settle our bills at least once a year, whenever this can be done without subjecting the patient to very serious inconvenience.</p>
        <p><hi rend="italics">Resolved</hi>, That we will not attend individuals, or a collection of individuals, by the year, at a stipulated price or under any fixed arrangement.</p>
        <p><hi rend="italics">Resolved</hi>, That should any Physician transgress these Rules he shall be considered by us as beyond the pale of the Profession, and all consultation with him by us be withheld.—That also, we will refuse to consult or hold medical communion with those who may themselves knowingly consult with such persons.</p>
