UNC prevents University Lake being used as an alternative source of water

The suggestion on the part of the Cane Creek grassroots movement that OWASA expand University Lake resulted in a "squabble" with OWASA, say Johnson. OWASA, as it turns out, does not own University Lake outright and cannot unilaterally expand the lake. Johnson suggests that UNC has played a major role in keeping the lake from being expanded.
