An explanation for how Cane Creek's water will be used

Okun describes current water use in the Chapel Hill area and how water from Cane Creek will be used once the reservoir is constructed. The area, including Chapel Hill, Durham, and Hillsborough, takes water from University Lake, a little from Cane Creek, and from "the quarry." The connections in the area means Cane Creek will service different communities as needed. Okun hopes that the government will identify other areas of Cane Creek and begin protecting them to preserve water quality for the future.
