Hoping that the I-26 corridor will bring more good than bad to Madison County

Hyatt hopes for balance as I-26 moves forward. He wants the accompanying development to convince young residents to stick around after high school, but he does not want overdevelopment. He wants change but does not want to change too drastically the community ethic. Hyatt's concern—and guarded optimism—echoes that of other Madison County residents who seem willing to accept the change I-26 will bring but hope to insulate certain aspects of community life against it.
