Inadequate compensation for losses

Mattie and Earl Cavenaugh discuss compensation, which was not nearly adequate. Having seen his son-in-law denied assistance, Earl does not plan to push for money—he does not think he would ever get anything near the amount he would need to repair decades of accumulation.
