Community cooperation helps residents deal with surprising flooding

Renee Lee offers a detailed account of her experience with the flooding. Although rescue efforts seem to have been poorly planned, area residents cooperated with one another to accomplish a smooth evacuation. Lee and other community members are fascinated and surprised by the rising water, measuring its progress up the sides of their houses.
