Inadequate compensation from insurance companies

Pickett expresses his frustration with the inadequate compensation offered by insurance companies, which seem to differentiate between insuring a home against flooding and insuring the home's contents. Pickett and others did receive as much as $35,000 for their lost possessions, but Pickett argues that this sum is not enough to compensate for a quarter of a century of accumulation.
