Tourism brings more money, but also more problems, to Pender County

Holland describes the impact of tourism on Pender County. The beach and low tax rates draw visitors and retirees, but the development intended to accommodate this growth is damaging the area's watersheds. Holland supports encouraging careful planning to prevent further damage. His impulse for conservation is motivated, in part, by his interest in hunting and fishing.
