The Treasurer of the Board of Trustees of the University has rendered to us a transcript of the above amt. & has delivered to us the vouchers on which the payments were made, by which it appears, that for Lottery No. 1 the Treasurer has settled & closed his accts., except the sum of three hundred & sixty six Dollars which remains to be collected by him from several individuals. The above balance of Eighteen hundred & eight two Dollars 62 ½ cents is however yet in the hands of the Treasurer & by him to be accounted for.

H. Potter, [Commissioner]

Will. Polk, [Commissioner]

John Haywood , [Commissioner]

Endnotes:

1. There is some chance that the Commander Hunt referred to is Memucan Hunt, but it is more likely that it is William Hunt since there is no evidence that Memucan Hunt ever held a military office.
