1. The construction of [new end] gallery to correspond in all respects with the side galleries. Each gallery to be provided with tripple ranges of seats.
2. The pews to be reduced in width to about 2 feet 6 inches, so as to consist of 11 tiers with comfortable seats on the extension of the 11th tier fronting the gallery. The seats in the old pews to be reduced in height and rendered more comfortable, and the new ones to correspond with the old.
3. The rostrum to be enlarged by extending the lathe and plaster work to the wall, with the proper curve, so that the back part of the rostrum may include the space between the two doors. A proper seat on a plat form around the curve.
4. The construction of a music gallery above the rostrum, and the necessary repairs to the seats [to be] occupied by the students.
5. Painting and white washing the interior of the Chapel , re-washing the old part of the two Halls, repainting the sills and lintels, of the old

and new parts of both edifices, and repairing the window frames, of the old parts of the two edifices.

Dabney Cosby agrees with David L. Swain and William M. Green , that he will execute the foregoing work, for the sum of Five Hundred Dollars, in a neat and workmanlike manner, in time for the occupancy of the Chapel at the approaching Commencement. The execution of the work to be approved and the money to be paid by the Trustees at Commencement.
