Jones</name></item> </list> <p>M<hi rend="sup">r</hi> <name key="pn0000702" reg="Haywood, John, Sr." type="person">Haywood</name> from the Committee appointed to inquire whether any alteration or modification of an Ordinance passed in July last, directing the manner of appointing Monitors, prescribing their duty &c &c. was necessary, presented the following Report, viz,</p> <p>The Committee to whom it was referred to report whether it be most advisable to repeal or continue in force the Ordinance of the <name key="name0000107" reg="Board of Trustees" type="organization">Trustees</name> of the <name key="name0001146" reg="University of North Carolina" type="organization">University of North Carolina</name>, passed in July last,<pb id="unc06-24-p02" n="93"/>directing the manner in which Monitors should then and thereafter be appointed, their duty in Office &c.</p> <p>Report,</p> <p>That in their opinion it is advisable that the said Ordinance and every part thereof be rescinded and made void; and to that end they submit the following, viz,</p> <p>An Ordinance to repeal and make void an Ordinance of the <name key="name0000107" reg="Board of Trustees" type="organization">Trustees</name>, passed at the seat of the <name key="name0001146" reg="University of North Carolina" type="organization">University</name> in July last, providing for the appointment of Monitors, and directing their duty during the continuance of such their appointment.</p> <p>Be it ordained by the <name key="name0000107" reg="Board of Trustees" type="organization">Trustees</name> of the <name key="name0001146" reg="University of North Carolina" type="organization">University of North Carolina</name>, and it is hereby ordained accordingly, that the said Ordinance and every part thereof be and the same is hereby repealed and made void. </p> <p rend="right"><name key="pn0000702" reg="Haywood, John, Sr." type="person">John Haywood</name> for the Committee</p> <p>Resolved, That this <name key="name0000107" reg="Board of Trustees" type="organization">Board</name> do concur with the foregoing Report, and that the Ordinance therein contained as above written, be and the same is hereby adopted.</p> <p>Resolved, That M<hi rend="sup">r</hi> <name key="x" reg="x" type="person">Wright</name>, M<hi rend="sup">r</hi> <name key="x" reg="x" type="person">Troy</name>, and M<hi rend="sup">r</hi> <name key="pn0000702" reg="Haywood, John, Sr." type="person">Haywood</name> be appointed a Committee to inquire whether any and what further regulations are necessary to be adopted for the Government of the <name key="name0001146" reg="University of North Carolina" type="organization">University</name>...</p> </div1> </body> </text> </TEI.2>
