                    ticket and resolutions. </p>

                <p>Resolutions adopted by the Faculty of the <name key="name0001146" reg="University of North Carolina" type="organization">University of North
                        Carolina</name> at the regular meeting held May 4th. 1866. </p>
                <p>"<hi rend="underscore">Resolved</hi>, That the President state to the
                    Ball-Managers the unanimous opinion of the Faculty, that the placing of the name
                    of any gentleman upon the list of honorary managers without his consent
                    previously obtained, is grossly improper.</p>
                <p><hi rend="underscore">Resolved</hi>, That in the present circumstances of the
                    country, the selection of those who have recently been conspicuous in public
                    affairs, is like to expose the <name key="name0001146" reg="University of North Carolina" type="organization">Institution</name> to
                    underserved suspicion." of the want of the spirit of loyalty which they
                    profess and feel.</p>
