JOHN COGDILL TO GENERAL HARRINGTON.

George Town, January 8, 1783.

Sir:

I had the pleasure of Receivg. your favour of the 2nd of Decemr. that gave me pleasure to find you had an Opporty. of Returng. to your home Once more, with so pleasing a prospect as we have from the Avacuation that has so lately taken place.

I have been favourd with a few Consignments that have been of Some Considerable avantage to my Self as well as Others, & am in hopes Soon to have the Return of One of these Vessels, & shall at all times be very Glad to See you or any of your Connections. Mr. Wragg has been but poorly a long time & his losses by the fire has been great. His family as well as Mr. Trapier are well. Mr. Trapier is our Senator: who Sets Out in a few days for Charles Town.
