FROM JOSEPH SUTTON TO SAMUEL SWANN, ESQ., SPEAKER OF THE ASSEMBLY.

Perquimons, November 27.

Mr. Speaker, Sir:—

I desire you’ll be so indulgent as to excuse my nonattendance at this present session. I am and have been for some time past in a mean state of health, and I find by experience that even a small journey augments my disorders; besides some extraordinary occurrences in private life require my present attendance at home. Sir, part (four) of my family at this time are extremely sick with the measles and flux. If, sir, you please to admit these excuses, which are real, you will very highly favor and oblige and wishing you health and an agreeable session, am, sir,

Your most humble servant,
JOSEPH SUTTON.
