John Teer of New-Bern in the County of Craven in the Province of North Carolina maketh oath That he was at New Bern in the month of June one thousand seven hundred and forty six that the day the Assembly was prorogued to Wilmington at Cape Fear in New Hanover County he saw several of the Members at the Court House door where the Assembly had sat—heard them talking among themselves and saying they would not go to Wilmington to attend the Assembly there but that this Deponent did not know any of their names being a stranger to them all, and further this Deponent saith not.
