Sir,
Your favour of the 22d inst. I received, with the Letter inclosed for Mr Cornell which I immediately delivered to him. I wrote you a few days ago by an Express who was charged with Precepts preparatory to some Courts of Oyer and terminer which it is thought expedient to hold in several Counties of the Province. I directed my Letter to be opened by you in case of Mr Johnston's absence, as I am in Hopes I shall be in Edenton by the 21st of June, it will be time enough then to give you any Letters for Mr McCulloh.
