Warrant appointing Richard Spaight Esqre to be a Councillor in North Carolina

Febry 4th 1757.

Trusty and Wellbeloved we greet you well. We being well satisfied of the Loyalty Integrity and Ability of our Trusty and Wellbeloved Richard Spaight Esquire have thought fit hereby to signify to you our Will and Pleasure that forthwith upon the Receipt of these Presents you swear and admit him the said Richard Spaight to be of our Council in our Province of North Carolina in America in the room of Henry McCulloch Esqre deceased. And for so doing this shall be your Warrant And so we bid you farewell. Given at our Court at St James's the 14th day of February 1757. in the thirtieth year of our Reign.

By His Majesty's command.
To our Trusty and Wellbeloved Arthur Dobbs Esqre our Captain General and Governour in Chief of our Province of North Carolina in America, or in his absence to the President of our Council and Commander in Chief of our said Province for the time being.
