Newbern, December, 26.

On Wednesday last the General Assembly of this State, finished the Business of the Session; having passed 48 Bills, many of them of great Consequence, particulary a Bill for establishing Courts of Law, and a bill for opening the Land Office, and granting the vacant Lands in the State. After which the two Houses adjourned till the first Monday in April next, then to be held at the Palace in New Bern. The Honourable Samuel Ashe, Samuel Spencer, and James Iredell, Esqrs. are appointed Judges of the Superior Courts of this District, and Waitstill Avery, Esqr. is appointed Attorney General for the State.
