Rum and Sugar, Capt. Hall only delivered 160 gallons in camp in the whole of his cargo, and was arrested for the same by General Greene, the Court returned the proceedings yesterday, I know not the Sentence. However you may guess how long it would last now being in Camp but the officers depends much on you as being their agent, pray exert yourself, leave no Stone unturn’d to Oblige them. I wrote to Col. Long for a Saddle & Bridle, I wish you to put him in mind of it. The officers and soldiers are very naked, you are sencable of that, and without you can do something in that way we will continue so. Excuse the scarsity of paper.

I am with much esteem,
Your Old Friend & very Humble servt.,
JNO. ARMSTRONG.

I would beg the favour of the General to Inclose this to Capt. Doherty if he is not with him.

JNO. ARMSTRONG.
