Kingston, September 18th, 1786.

Sir:

I had the honor to receive your letter of the ——— of July last, enclosing a Clause of the Ordinance of the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina, appointing Commissioners and vesting them with powers to settle differences, and for a Boundary with North Carolina, which I shall lay before the Legislature of this State on their first meeting, which is appointed to be on the first Monday in November next. And their determination thereon, I shall do myself the honor of communicating to you, as speedily as practicable.
