Sir:

Agreeable to a vote of the General Assembly taken by joint ballot, we do ourselves the Honor of informing you that on the 12th Inst.

you were elected to the important office of Chief Majistrate of this State. Should the appointment meet your acceptance, we have it in command to request that you will please to give your attendance at this place as soon as possible in order to qualify and proceed on the duties of that Office.
