Sir:—

I have to inclose you a copy of an act of the General Assembly of this State to prevent the return of certain persons therein named, who left this and the neighboring State and joined the enemies thereof, and to request the favor of your transmitting to the General Assembly of this State a list of the names of all persons who have left your State and joined our common enemy, in order that such persons may be prevented from residing within this State.
