Skyline Drive (which becomes the Blue Ridge Parkway just south of this point) is visible as the highest road curving around the mountain on the right. Skyline Drive crosses over Interstate 64, which crosses over the Rockfish Gap Turnpike. The buildings in the foreground are (from the front) part of the Skyline Parkway Motel, the Skyline Parkway Motor Court, the Tourist Information Center, the gate lodge for the Skyline Parkway Motor Court, and the Afton Mountain Convenience Store (far building).
