Description | This photograph shows where Skyline Drive to the north becomes Blue Ridge Parkway to the south, just south of the Rockfish Gap overpass. A wooden guardrail runs along the side of the road, and behind it a sign directs drivers left for Skyline Drive and the Shenandoah National Park, and right for the Blue Ridge Parkway. The low rock wall on the side of the road marks the top of the overpass. This photograph was taken in August, 1976. |
