Description Image of a fall webworm infestation on a hickory tree alongside the road near milepost 17.6, section 1D of the Blue Ridge Parkway. Fall webworm, also known as hyphantria cunea, create webbed nests on a variety of hardwood trees in the late summer and fall. In the photograph, hickory nuts can be seen in the webbed nest.
