Description The image shows a cleared construction site on a steep hillside where an arching bridge support has been partially constructed. A crane is parked on the rough ground near the arch and a worker kneels in the door of the crane's cab. The area around the construction is heavily wooded and a dirt road curves around ridge to the construction site. The photograph was taken by Jack E. Boucher during the month of June 1959 south of Roanoke, Virginia, near milepost 125 in section 1N of the Blue Ridge Parkway.
